Professional driver development for around 27p per working day

Relevant Driver CPC training does not need to represent a major daily cost to the operation. A private Transcom course gives the employer a full training day for up to 15 drivers, delivered around the standards and risks that matter to the business.

For around 27p per available working day, an employer can use Driver CPC to reinforce legal responsibilities, company expectations, safer working practices and professional standards, while showing drivers that their development is worth investing in.

Professional drivers generally need 35 hours of periodic training every five years. The correct course route depends on where they need to drive and whether the training must support National or International Driver CPC.

Driver CPC training for businesses: frequently asked questions

Do you still offer individual Driver CPC bookings?
We do not operate a continuous public timetable of individual seats. Limited individual availability may occasionally exist, but our main Driver CPC service is now closed-company and organised group training.
Is there a minimum number of drivers?
Business training is quoted on a closed-course or minimum-booking basis. The most suitable arrangement depends on group size, delivery method, location, course content and whether bespoke development is required.
Can the training be tailored to our company?
Yes. Existing approved modules can be selected to match relevant risks, and operational examples can be discussed within the approved course scope. Where a materially different course is needed and the training must count towards Driver CPC hours, the new programme must be developed and approved before delivery.
Can you deliver training online and on-site?
Yes. Closed-company live online delivery is available nationwide. On-site delivery can be arranged by agreement where the group size, location, facilities and course requirements make it suitable.
Are your Driver CPC trainers qualified Transport Managers?
Yes. Transcom’s Driver CPC trainers are qualified trainers and qualified Transport Managers, combining delivery skills with practical knowledge of commercial transport operations and compliance.
Can you help us plan National and International Driver CPC?
Yes. We will discuss where drivers need to work and confirm the intended course route before booking. Drivers who need to work professionally in Europe require the appropriate International Driver CPC training route.
How quickly are completed hours uploaded?
Transcom aims to upload completed Driver CPC hours on the day of successful attendance, subject to correct delegate information, full course completion and DVSA system availability.
Does Driver CPC training guarantee operator licence compliance?
No. Training supports competence and evidence, but it does not replace effective management, supervision, maintenance systems, driver monitoring, record keeping or the operator’s wider legal responsibilities.
