The Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is the qualification required by law for anyone nominated as a Transport Manager on a Standard National or Standard International operator licence. Without a qualified Transport Manager in post, a standard operator licence cannot be granted or maintained.

The Transport Manager CPC is the professional qualification required by law for anyone nominated as a Transport Manager on a Standard National or Standard International HGV operator licence. Without a qualified Transport Manager in post, a standard operator licence cannot be granted or maintained.
It is not required for restricted operator licences. If you operate on a restricted licence, OLAT (Operator Licence Awareness Training) is the appropriate course for directors and senior managers.
The Goods Vehicle (Road Haulage) CPC qualifies you to be nominated as Transport Manager on a standard licence for HGV operations. The PCV (Passenger Commercial Vehicle) CPC qualifies you for passenger transport operations.
